“Combine all the disciplines and get buy in from the Client and Suppliers.”

Committed to the deadline

Completing projects to a predefined timescale and budget is normal when there is sufficient time to plan and schedule the works, by building up the various stages and lead times a finish date can be established and agreed.

But what if the finish date is the starting point? If due to a contractual or operational obligation the project has a “drop dead date” by which time everything must be completed and operational.

This is when all parties need to be aligned and committed to achieving the project deadlines, including the Client who must be committed to being proactive and decisive, giving the project team timely responses and keeping the project moving forward.

Adapting to each situation

There will be challenges along the way and it is the job of the TMC Project Team to manage those effectively, introducing alternatives and substitute products if the programme is threatened. The suppliers and contractors also play a key role by adhering to their commitments and flagging issues as early as possible.

The path to the end goal will be paved with any number of recalibrations and adjustments, but the objective is held firmly in focus until the handover is complete.

We rise to the occasion

At TMC we have been involved in a number of rescue missions when Clients have been let down by others at the last moment, or when a circumstance creates the need for something out of the ordinary.

Whether that is a TV channel that has to air on a specific date, an F1 paddock building that has to be ready for a specific grand prix, or a lease that is running out sooner than expected, TMC can make things happen quickly.
